Successful CalArts Residency

I just completed a demanding but rewarding 12 day residency at CalArts developing my Strings & Serpents. This collaborative project with French pianist Benoit Delbecq, Japanese kotoists Tsugumi Yamaoto, Ai Kajigano, and Japanese animator Saki Murotani will premier in 2013/14 in Los Angeles and tour, France, Japan and The US. Selected for Jazz Composers Orchestra Institute Readings

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been selected by The American Composers Orchestra to participate in the Jazz Composers Orchestra Institute Readings. (Translation?) I’m currently composing a piece for symphonic orchestra which will be read, rehearsed and potentially performed which is something I’ve been working towards for quite some time.

The reading will take place June 3-5, 2013 at Miller Theater at Columbia University (located at 116th St and Broadway, NYC).

Kickstarter Successfully Funded

It was a nail biter in the final 7 days but with some very generous support from fans, friends and family, I’m happy to announce that Dapp Theory reached our Kickstarter funding goal. Production on the next CD has been ongoing since April 2012 and we’ve now got the budget to complete it. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who promoted and contributed to the campaign.
