I’m happy to announce that I’ve been selected for the Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour Roster starting 2010. Its a great distinction as I’m part of a small pool of artists based in Pennsylvania, eligible for funding to support performances with presenters in DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, OH, PA, WV and the US Virgin Islands. This applies to my solo piano project, my duo with Gregoire Maret and my piano duo with Benoit Delbecq.
Duo Piano CD Now Available - CD release concert June 28th
June 18th, 2009
“Where is Pannonica?”, my duo piano CD with French pianist Benoît Delbecq was released on June 9th in the US and Canada. Songlines Recordings. It was an amazing collaboration which was made possible through the support of Chamber Music America, The Canada Council for the Arts, and The Banff Centre. The music was created specifically to be heard in the surround sound 5.0 format, however even in conventional 2 track stereo, you can get the sense of being there. I hope you’ll check it out and if you’re in the New York City area, please come to the CD release concert at Klavierhaus on June 28th and celebrate with us. If you can’t attend, look for the CD at a retail outlet,
or online. Included on the CD is a 15 minute video chronicling the “Making of..”.

Going Afro-Peruvian
May 10th, 2009
This week I’ll be in residence at Tutuma, new venue in New York dedicated to featuring Afr0-Peruvian jazz. I’ll be performing several of my compositions newly conceived with an Afro-Peruvian vibe. The band features 3 of the top Peruvian musicians here in New York, as well as Dapp Theory drummer, Kenny Grohowski. Rehearsals have already indicated that this exchange is going to result in an exciting week of music. Hope you can join us.
